Série 2 — quantificateurs, équivalences et démonstrations.
Exercice 1
Écrire la négation des propositions suivantes.
- \((\forall x\in\mathbb{R})\;(x^2 + x + 1 > 0)\)
- \((\exists x\in\mathbb{R})\;(x^2 = -1)\)
- \((\forall x\in\mathbb{R})(\exists y\in\mathbb{R})\;(y > x)\)
Correction
- \((\exists x\in\mathbb{R})\;(x^2 + x + 1 \le 0)\).
- \((\forall x\in\mathbb{R})\;(x^2 \ne -1)\).
- \((\exists x\in\mathbb{R})(\forall y\in\mathbb{R})\;(y \le x)\).
Exercice 2
Correction
| \(P\) | \(Q\) | \(P \Rightarrow Q\) | \(\overline{P \Rightarrow Q}\) | \(P\) et \(\overline{Q}\) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| V | V | V | F | F |
| V | F | F | V | V |
| F | V | V | F | F |
| F | F | V | F | F |
Correction
Initialisation. \(n = 0\) : \(4^0 - 1 = 0 = 3\times0\). Hérédité. Si \(4^n - 1 = 3k\), alors \(4^{n+1} - 1 = 4\times4^n - 1 = 4(3k+1) - 1 = 12k + 3 = 3(4k+1)\). Conclusion. La propriété est vraie pour tout \(n\).
Exercice 6
Correction
- Vraie : si \(x > 2\), alors \(x^2 > 4\).
- Fausse : pour \(x = -3\), on a \(x^2 = 9 > 4\) mais \(x < 2\). Il n'y a donc pas équivalence.
Exercice 7
Montrer que, pour tout réel \(x\), on a \(\lvert x\rvert \le \dfrac{1 + x^2}{2}\).
Correction
\(\dfrac{1 + x^2}{2} - \lvert x\rvert = \dfrac{1 - 2\lvert x\rvert + x^2}{2} = \dfrac{(\lvert x\rvert - 1)^2}{2} \ge 0\), car \(x^2 = \lvert x\rvert^2\).
