Exercice 1
Calculer : \(\sqrt{144}\) ; \(\sqrt{0{,}25}\) ; \(\left(\sqrt7\right)^2\) ; \(\sqrt{(-6)^2}\) ; \(\sqrt{\frac{81}{49}}\).
Correction
\(12\) ; \(0{,}5\) ; \(7\) ; \(6\) ; \(\frac97\).
Exercice 2
Écrire sous la forme \(a\sqrt b\) avec \(b\) entier le plus petit possible : \(\sqrt{18}\) ; \(\sqrt{75}\) ; \(\sqrt{200}\) ; \(\sqrt{48}\).
Correction
\(3\sqrt2\) ; \(5\sqrt3\) ; \(10\sqrt2\) ; \(4\sqrt3\).
Exercice 3
Réduire : \(A = 2\sqrt{8} + \sqrt{50} - \sqrt{18}\) ; \(B = \sqrt{3}\left(\sqrt{12} - \sqrt3\right)\).
Correction
\(A = 4\sqrt2 + 5\sqrt2 - 3\sqrt2 = 6\sqrt2\). \(B = \sqrt{36} - 3 = 6 - 3 = 3\).
Exercice 4
Développer : \(C = \left(\sqrt5 + 1\right)^2\) ; \(D = \left(2\sqrt3 - 1\right)\left(2\sqrt3 + 1\right)\).
Correction
\(C = 5 + 2\sqrt5 + 1 = 6 + 2\sqrt5\). \(D = 12 - 1 = 11\).
Exercice 5
- Rendre rationnels les dénominateurs : \(\frac{10}{\sqrt5}\) et \(\frac{2}{\sqrt3 + 1}\).
- Résoudre : \(x^2 = 11\) ; \(x^2 + 4 = 0\) ; \((x - 1)^2 = 9\).
Correction
- \(\frac{10\sqrt5}{5} = 2\sqrt5\) ; \(\frac{2(\sqrt3 - 1)}{3 - 1} = \sqrt3 - 1\).
- \(x = \sqrt{11}\) ou \(x = -\sqrt{11}\) ; pas de solution ; \(x - 1 = 3\) ou \(x - 1 = -3\), donc \(x = 4\) ou \(x = -2\).
