1. Produit scalaire dans l'espace
En repère orthonormé, pour \(\vec{u}(x ; y ; z)\) et \(\vec{v}(x' ; y' ; z')\) :
\[\vec{u}\cdot\vec{v} = xx' + yy' + zz' \qquad \|\vec{u}\| = \sqrt{x^2 + y^2 + z^2}\]
\(\vec{u}\perp\vec{v}\Leftrightarrow\vec{u}\cdot\vec{v} = 0\).
2. Plan et vecteur normal
Le plan passant par \(A\) et de vecteur normal \(\vec{n}(a ; b ; c)\) a pour équation \(ax + by + cz + d = 0\).
Distance d'un point à un plan : \(d(A, (P)) = \frac{|ax_A + by_A + cz_A + d|}{\sqrt{a^2 + b^2 + c^2}}\).
3. Sphère
La sphère de centre \(\Omega(a ; b ; c)\) et de rayon \(R\) : \((x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 + (z - c)^2 = R^2\). Position d'un plan \((P)\) et d'une sphère \((S)\) : avec \(d = d(\Omega, (P))\), si \(d > R\) ils sont disjoints ; si \(d = R\), \((P)\) est tangent ; si \(d < R\), l'intersection est un cercle de rayon \(r = \sqrt{R^2 - d^2}\) centré au projeté de \(\Omega\) sur \((P)\).
4. Produit vectoriel
Le produit vectoriel de \(\vec{u}(x ; y ; z)\) et \(\vec{v}(x' ; y' ; z')\) est :
\[\vec{u}\wedge\vec{v} = \begin{pmatrix} yz' - zy' \\ zx' - xz' \\ xy' - yx' \end{pmatrix}\]
- \(\vec{u}\wedge\vec{v}\) est orthogonal à \(\vec{u}\) et à \(\vec{v}\).
- \(\vec{u}\wedge\vec{v} = \vec{0}\Leftrightarrow\vec{u}\) et \(\vec{v}\) colinéaires.
- \(\|\vec{u}\wedge\vec{v}\| = \|\vec{u}\|\|\vec{v}\||\sin\theta|\).
Applications
- Vecteur normal au plan \((ABC)\) : \(\vec{AB}\wedge\vec{AC}\).
- Aire du triangle \(ABC\) : \(\frac12\|\vec{AB}\wedge\vec{AC}\|\).
- Distance d'un point \(M\) à la droite \((D)\) passant par \(A\) et dirigée par \(\vec{u}\) : \(\frac{\|\vec{AM}\wedge\vec{u}\|}{\|\vec{u}\|}\).
