Problème (20 pts)

Soit \(f(x) = \frac{1 + \ln x}{x}\) sur \(]0 ; +\infty[\).

  1. Calculer \(\lim_{x\to0^+}f(x)\) et \(\lim_{x\to+\infty}f(x)\) ; interpréter. (4 pts)
  2. Montrer que \(f'(x) = \frac{-\ln x}{x^2}\) et dresser le tableau de variation. (5 pts)
  3. Déterminer l'intersection de \((C_f)\) avec l'axe des abscisses. (2 pts)
  4. Écrire l'équation de la tangente à \((C_f)\) au point d'abscisse \(1\) et au point d'abscisse \(\frac1e\). (4 pts)
  5. Montrer que pour tout \(x > 0\) : \(1 + \ln x\le x\). (5 pts)
Correction
  1. En \(0^+\) : \(1 + \ln x\to-\infty\) et \(\frac1x\to+\infty\), donc \(f\to-\infty\) : asymptote \(x = 0\). En \(+\infty\) : \(\frac1x + \frac{\ln x}{x}\to0\) : asymptote \(y = 0\).
  2. \(f'(x) = \frac{\frac1x\cdot x - (1 + \ln x)}{x^2} = \frac{-\ln x}{x^2}\). Croissante sur \(]0 ; 1]\), décroissante sur \([1 ; +\infty[\), maximum \(f(1) = 1\).
  3. \(1 + \ln x = 0\) : \(x = \frac1e\), point \((\frac1e ; 0)\).
  4. En \(1\) : \(f'(1) = 0\), \((T) : y = 1\). En \(\frac1e\) : \(f'(\frac1e) = \frac{1}{e^{-2}} = e^2\), tangente \(y = e^2\left(x - \frac1e\right) = e^2x - e\).
  5. Le maximum de \(f\) est \(1\), donc \(\frac{1 + \ln x}{x}\le1\), soit \(1 + \ln x\le x\).
